Some of you may have seen this chap sitting as a WIP in my gallery since about December 2010. I decided to finish him yesterday, because it's no fun having a half painted fox staring at you every time you pick up one of his WIP buddies to finish.

My first polymer clay sculpture, his back leg cracked over a flimsy armature section, so he's all glued up and solid, ready to go to his new home as part of an art trade.

Super Sculpey over a wire and foil armature. Painted with acrylics and inks and sealed with a matt varnish and polyurethane highlights.

very cute and realistic! I also love working with clay- I just made a little sculpture of a hooded crow (to be exact, Bird from Peter and the Wolf, if you know the movie)

I always admire people who can sculpt well. It's tough!

Sculpting is hard - currently I find painting them harder!

Really? Well, you did fine with both on this one.
